The Role
The Senior Design Project Manager will be responsible for leading complex, multi-disciplinary data centre design projects from concept through to completion. Acting as the primary liaison between clients, internal teams, and external consultants, this role ensures the successful execution of design intent, program objectives, and technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the full design process for large-scale data centre projects (across RIBA stages 0–7 or equivalent).
Coordinate internal and external multidisciplinary teams, including architectural, MEP, structural, security, and fire consultants.
Oversee project schedules, budgets, deliverables, and design quality.
Serve as the primary client interface, ensuring alignment on goals, progress, and project direction.
Facilitate design reviews, approvals, risk assessments, and value engineering processes.
Implement robust project controls and change management protocols.
Ensure compliance with applicable standards, codes, and client-specific technical requirements.
About You
Minimum 8 years of experience in design or project management, with at least 3 years in data centre or mission-critical projects
Strong technical knowledge of data centre design, including MEP systems, resilience strategies, and space planning
Proven track record of managing complex design teams and delivering high-value projects
Effective communicator with strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
Familiarity with relevant standards and certifications (e.g. Uptime Institute, ASHRAE, EN 50600)
Proficiency in project management tools (e.g. MS Project, Primavera, Aconex)
Degree qualified in architecture, engineering, or a related discipline
Professional certifications (e.g. PMP, APM, RIBA, or equivalent) are advantageous
