Senior Planner

We are working on behalf of a well-established and highly regarded contractor who specialises in the delivery of complex Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) projects across commercial, healthcare, data centre and infrastructure sectors. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced Senior Planner to strengthen their planning function.

The Role

As Senior Planner, you will play a key role in supporting the successful planning and delivery of major M&E projects from pre-construction through to completion. Working closely with project teams, commercial managers and clients, you will ensure robust programmes are developed, maintained and communicated effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, manage and update detailed project programmes for M&E works
• Provide planning support during pre-construction, tender and live project phases
• Carry out progress updates, critical path analysis and reporting
• Support change management, delay analysis and risk mitigation
• Work collaboratively with project and site teams to ensure programme compliance
• Produce programme narratives and reports for senior stakeholders and clients

About You

• Proven experience as a Planner or Senior Planner within M&E / Building Services
• Strong working knowledge of planning software (Primavera P6 essential; Asta Powerproject beneficial)
• Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical construction methodologies
• Ability to communicate confidently with internal teams and external stakeholders
• Detail-oriented, proactive and commercially aware
