Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are currently working on behalf of a well-established and highly regarded groundworks contractor who is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support their continued growth.

This business delivers complex groundworks packages across residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects and has built a strong reputation for quality, reliability, and long-term client relationships.

The Role

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take commercial responsibility for multiple groundworks projects from pre-contract through to final account. You’ll work closely with Contracts Managers, site teams, and directors to ensure projects are delivered profitably and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Full commercial management of groundworks projects
• Preparing and managing budgets, forecasts, and cost reports
• Valuations, applications for payment, and final accounts
• Managing subcontractor procurement, payments, and variations
• Identifying and managing commercial risk and opportunity
• Supporting junior commercial staff where required
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships

About You

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within groundworks or civil engineering
• Strong understanding of groundworks packages (earthworks, drainage, foundations, external works, etc.)
• Excellent commercial and contractual knowledge
• Confident communicator, able to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
