We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Planner to join a leading planning and environmental consultancy based in Galway. This is an exciting opportunity to work on major renewable energy and infrastructure projects across Ireland, contributing to the continued growth of one of the country’s largest planning teams.
This role offers strong career progression, exposure to high-profile projects, and the opportunity to mentor junior planners while managing complex planning applications from inception through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the delivery of renewable energy and infrastructure planning applications
Manage complex planning projects from initial concept through to submission
Act as the main point of contact with clients, authorities, and stakeholders
Oversee planning documentation to ensure technical accuracy and compliance
Mentor and support junior planners within the team
Liaise effectively with multidisciplinary teams
Ensure timely delivery of high-quality planning outputs
Review reports and planning assessments prepared by team members
Requirements
Degree qualification in Town Planning (IPI or RTPI accredited)
Minimum 6+ years post-graduate planning experience
Proven experience within a planning consultancy environment
Strong background in renewable energy or infrastructure projects
Excellent knowledge of the Irish planning system
Strong report writing and organisational skills
Experience managing complex planning applications
Full clean driving licence required
