Overview
A Quantity Surveyor is required to join the team in Charleville, County Cork. This role involves providing cost management support across all stages of construction projects, with opportunities to contribute to both public and private sector developments.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver cost management services across all project stages.
Carry out pre-contract duties including cost planning and bills of quantities preparation.
Manage post-contract activities such as interim payment recommendations, valuation of variations, and agreement of final accounts.
Support the production of technical due diligence assessments on proposed developments.
Prepare, review, and maintain accurate project cost documentation.
Collaborate with project teams to ensure effective cost control throughout project lifecycles.
Visit project sites as required.
Minimum Requirements
Degree qualified (BSc or MSc) in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management, or an appropriate conversion programme.
Chartered status is preferable; candidates working toward chartership are also welcome.
Knowledge of ARM and experience preparing Bills of Quantities in accordance with ARM.
Minimum 5 years’ experience.
Full driving licence.
Experience in a consulting or contracting environment providing cost management and/or project monitoring services (desirable).
Strong numerical skills and excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Proficient in report writing.
Positive attitude with a desire to learn and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
Understanding of construction projects and project lifecycles.
