Access Talent Group is working with a highly regarded multidisciplinary consultancy in Ireland that is looking to appoint a Senior Structural Engineer to join its expanding Cork office. This is a full-time, office-based role (5 days per week), offering the chance to collaborate closely with design teams, clients, and contractors on a range of innovative and technically demanding projects.
The consultancy is well known for delivering complex, high-specification projects across the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and life sciences sectors. They offer a supportive and dynamic environment where engineers can develop their technical expertise, take ownership of detailed design work, and contribute to delivering world-class facilities for major clients.
As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for leading structural design and analysis from concept through to construction, ensuring technical excellence, compliance, and constructability. You’ll work closely with multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior engineers, and play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Requirements
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership preferred).
- Proven experience delivering structural designs within the pharma, life sciences, or industrial sectors.
- Strong understanding of Eurocodes, structural analysis, and design software (e.g., Tekla, Revit, or STAAD).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team coordination skills.
- Ability to manage workloads, review designs, and liaise effectively with clients and contractors.
