Description Summary
A leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join its growing Irish team. This role offers the opportunity to work on high profile commercial, residential, healthcare, education and infrastructure projects across Ireland, while progressing within a collaborative and technically strong design environment.
The Role
You will join an established structural engineering team delivering high quality design solutions across a diverse portfolio of projects. Working closely with senior leadership and multidisciplinary teams, you will take responsibility for leading structural design packages, managing project delivery and supporting junior engineers.
This position offers flexibility to be based in Cork, Dublin or Limerick, with strong long term progression available within a well regarded consultancy environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading structural design on a range of commercial, residential and infrastructure projects
- Managing projects from concept through to construction stage
- Coordinating with internal civil, transport and environmental teams
- Liaising with architects, contractors and design team members
- Producing and reviewing structural calculations, drawings and technical specifications
- Mentoring and supporting junior engineers and technicians
- Attending client and site meetings as required
- Supporting business development and client relationship management
You will be joining a consultancy with a strong pipeline of Irish projects and an established reputation for technical excellence and collaborative delivery.
Requirements
- Degree qualified in Structural or Civil Engineering
- Minimum 6–10+ years’ experience within a consultancy environment
- Chartered Engineer (or working towards) preferred
- Experience delivering projects across multiple sectors in Ireland or the UK
- Strong technical design and project delivery skills
- Experience managing client relationships and project teams
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
