Senior Transport Planner

Access Talent Group are recruiting for a Transport Planning consultancy who work on project across the UK and overseas. They are looking to recruit a Senior Transport planner to support teams in Cambridge. The ideal candidates will be enthusiastic, people-orientated individuals, with strong report-writing, research and analytical skills, and a desire to quickly move into a position of responsibility. Importantly you should share our belief that transport planners have a responsibility to help create more sustainable places.

The role:

• Manage projects for local authorities and private sector clients under the guidance of the Project Director
• Start taking a leading role within a defined technical areaManage time effectively, working with colleagues to deliver to scope and budget
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, helping to secure new work
• Proactively contribute to company growth through business development activities
• Inspire and develop less-experienced members of staff by freely sharing your knowledge
• Travel across the UK, and internationally

Essential:

• Exceptional transport planning technical skills and experience in areas of relevance to ITP
• A sound understanding of transport policy and current issues in the UK and/or internationally
• Knowledge and skills to extract and analyse complex data sets to derive valuable insights
• A growing network of industry contacts and positive client referrals
• Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
• Excellent report-writing skills
