With a diverse portfolio of projects across the private and public sectors, we are seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Transport Planner to join us on our journey of growth and impact.

The Role:
As a Senior Transport Planner, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the direction of projects and contributing to our consultancy’s success. Working alongside a talented team of planners and engineers, you will lead the delivery of transport planning projects, develop innovative solutions, and mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead the preparation of transport assessments, travel plans, and feasibility studies for a variety of developments.
  • Provide technical guidance and strategic input on transportation planning and infrastructure projects.
  • Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Conduct data analysis, traffic modeling, and forecasting to support project delivery.
  • Prepare and deliver high-quality written reports and presentations.
  • Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and development.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and contribute to business development activities, including proposal writing and client relationship management.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • A degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography, or a related field.
  • Significant experience in transport planning, preferably in a consultancy environment.
  • Proficiency in transport modeling and analysis software such as Junctions, LINSIG, or TRICS.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • A thorough understanding of relevant planning policies, guidance, and standards.
  • Membership or working towards membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., CIHT, TPS).
