We are working with a dynamic, independent transport planning consultancy specialising in delivering high-quality planning advice and solutions to private sector clients across the UK. Our team supports a wide variety of projects—from residential and commercial developments to mixed-use and strategic land schemes.
They pride themselves on providing pragmatic, commercially-aware transport planning that helps unlock development potential. Due to a growing pipeline of exciting projects, they are looking to add a proactive and ambitious Graduate Transport Planner with around 2 years’ experience to our friendly and close-knit team.
The Role
As a Graduate Transport Planner, you’ll play an active role in supporting the delivery of transport planning projects. You will be involved in a wide range of responsibilities including:
- Preparing Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel Plans
- Conducting data analysis including traffic surveys and junction modelling (e.g. using Junctions 9, LinSig, or similar)
- Assisting in site appraisal and access feasibility studies
- Engaging with clients, local authorities, and project teams
- Supporting planning applications and contributing to technical reports and design recommendations
- Staying up to date with local and national policy changes that affect transport planning
What We’re Looking For
- A degree in Transport Planning, Geography, Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Around 2 years of professional experience within the UK transport planning sector
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of relevant software (e.g. TRICS, TEMPro, AutoCAD, Junctions 9, LinSig, ArcGIS)
- Familiarity with private sector development planning work
- A self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently in a small-team environment
