This position offers excellent exposure to complex building projects, the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers and a clear pathway toward Chartered Engineer status.
Projects include:
• Large scale residential developments for the Land Development Agency and development partners
• Private residential schemes including high rise and low rise developments nationwide
• Refurbishment of historic structures for public sector clients
• New build commercial office and hotel developments
• Hotel and office refurbishments and fit outs
• Industrial and data centre projects
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in delivering structural engineering services from feasibility through detailed design and construction stages
• Provide technical input on structural design solutions alongside senior engineers
• Attend design team meetings and coordinate with clients, architects, contractors and consultants
• Develop practical and efficient structural design solutions
• Ensure designs comply with Eurocodes and industry best practice
• Prepare structural calculations, reports, drawings and tender documentation
• Assist with site inspections and construction stage services
• Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary civil and structural teams
• Contribute to internal quality standards and engineering procedures
Requirements
• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Level 8+)
• 4+ years structural engineering consultancy experience
• Experience delivering building development projects such as residential or commercial schemes
• Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
• Experience using structural analysis software such as Tekla Structural Designer, ETABS or TEDDS
• Knowledge of Eurocodes and structural design standards
• Aspiration to achieve Chartered Engineer status with Engineers Ireland or IStructE
