The Opportunity
Access Talent Group is partnering with an award-winning architectural practice in Dublin City Centre to recruit an experienced Architectural Technologist on a permanent basis.
The practice delivers residential, commercial, mixed-use and conservation projects, combining strong architectural design with detailed technical delivery. This opportunity would suit a technologist who enjoys developing practical construction solutions and taking projects through tender and construction stages.
You will work closely with architects, technical colleagues and external consultants, contributing to coordinated project delivery from design development through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and develop detailed architectural drawings, technical specifications and construction details.Produce coordinated tender and construction drawing packages using Revit and AutoCAD.Translate architectural concepts into buildable technical solutions.Coordinate architectural information with structural engineers, building services consultants and other design team members.Review designs against Irish Building Regulations, planning conditions and relevant technical standards.Maintain and update BIM models and project documentation throughout the design and construction process.Attend design team meetings and site inspections, recording progress and addressing technical queries.Respond to contractor queries and incorporate agreed changes into construction information.Support the delivery of projects within agreed programmes and quality standards.Contribute to consistent technical detailing and drawing standards across the practice.
Requirements
A recognised third-level qualification in Architectural Technology or a closely related discipline.At least five years’ relevant post-qualification experience in architectural practice.Experience working on projects in Ireland or the UK, with a strong understanding of Irish construction methods and regulatory requirements.Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.Experience working within BIM Level 2 project environments.Strong technical design and construction detailing skills.Experience preparing tender documentation and managing construction stage drawings.Practical site experience and confidence liaising with contractors and consultants.Good knowledge of Irish Building Regulations and the planning process.Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines.Clear written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and contribute effectively within a project team.The right to work in Ireland.
Experience delivering large-scale residential or mixed-use developments would be particularly relevant.
