About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Associate Geologist to join our client’s Manchester office, bringing a solid background in site-based contracting within ground engineering. This is a pivotal role aimed at developing and leading a growing internal contractor team. The successful candidate will play a key part in shaping the direction of site operations, managing teams, and expanding the consultancy’s in-house delivery capability. The role will involve a combination of hands-on project involvement, business development, and leadership responsibilities to build and strengthen this strategic part of the business.
Key Qualifications and Experience Required
- Demonstrable experience in ground investigation or geotechnical contracting roles
- Previous employment with a site-based or ground engineering contractor is essential
- Proven track record in team leadership and people management
- Experience in business development and client relationship management
- Strong understanding of UK ground engineering standards and site safety procedures
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Relevant degree in geology, geotechnical engineering, or related discipline
