A top M&E consultancy in Dublin is looking to appoint an experienced Associate Mechanical Engineer to join its growing team.
The consultancy has a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, commercially focused engineering solutions across a diverse range of projects. The business takes a hands-on approach to project delivery, with senior leadership actively involved throughout the project lifecycle, from initial concept through to completion.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Engineer looking to take the next step in their career, develop their leadership capabilities and play a key role in delivering technically strong and commercially successful projects.
The Role
As an Associate Mechanical Engineer, you will:
- Take a leading role in the delivery of mechanical building services projects from concept through to completion.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance across project teams.
- Work closely with clients and project stakeholders to understand requirements and develop effective engineering solutions.
- Coordinate mechanical design activities with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ensure projects are delivered to a high technical standard, within agreed programmes and budgets.
- Support the development of junior and intermediate engineers.
- Contribute to project planning, resource management and commercial performance.
- Identify challenges early and develop practical, commercially efficient solutions.
- Maintain strong client relationships and contribute to repeat business and long-term project opportunities.
- Work closely with senior leadership, with strong exposure to strategic and project-level decision-making.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
- Strong experience within a building services consultancy environment.
- Proven experience delivering mechanical design projects through the full project lifecycle.
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical building services systems and relevant industry standards.
- Experience managing project deliverables, programmes and budgets.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to lead and mentor engineers while working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
- A commercially aware and solutions-focused approach to project delivery.
- Chartered Engineer status or a clear pathway towards Chartership is desirable.
