Senior Electrical Engineer

Our client is a well-established, highly respected engineering consultancy and one of Ireland’s leaders in Mechanical, Electrical and Sustainable Building Design. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of prestigious projects, they are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their Dublin team.

The Role

As Senior Electrical Engineer, you will take technical ownership of complex building services projects, leading electrical design delivery from concept through to construction and commissioning while supporting and mentoring junior engineers.

Projects span a wide range of sectors including commercial, healthcare, education, residential, retail, hospitality, public sector, data centres and major infrastructure developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical design on major building services projects
• Deliver LV & MV electrical systems, power distribution, lighting, emergency systems and life-safety services
• Produce detailed technical designs, specifications and reports
• Coordinate closely with mechanical, sustainability and architectural teams
• Oversee BIM delivery and ensure design compliance
• Attend client, design and site meetings
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers
• Support project delivery from early design through construction & commissioning

Experience & Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• 8+ years’ experience in building services electrical design
• Strong experience across commercial and public sector projects
• Proven ability to lead projects and manage technical delivery
• Proficiency with industry software including Revit, Amtech, MagiCAD, IES and related BIM tools
• Strong knowledge of Irish & international standards
• Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership is highly advantageous
