Our client is a leading multidisciplinary design consultancy based in Abu Dhabi, with a strong presence across the UAE and wider GCC.
The business works across architecture, landscape architecture, urban design, infrastructure and the wider built environment, delivering projects across sectors including residential, hospitality, mixed-use, public realm, waterfronts, cultural destinations and large-scale masterplans.
With an established regional portfolio and strong relationships across both public and private sectors, the company is continuing to expand its presence in the UAE.
The Role
This is a senior, commercially focused position responsible for driving business development and market growth across Abu Dhabi and the wider UAE.
The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership and technical teams to identify new opportunities, develop client relationships and support the successful conversion of major projects.
A key part of the role will be leveraging an established network of government and semi-government entities, developers, asset owners, consultants and other key industry stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across Abu Dhabi and the UAE.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior clients, developers, government entities and industry stakeholders.
- Monitor market activity and identify upcoming projects and growth opportunities.
- Develop and implement business development and market growth strategies.
- Lead client meetings, presentations and relationship-building activities.
- Support major bids and pursuits from early positioning through to appointment.
- Work closely with leadership and technical teams to develop compelling proposals and pursuit strategies.
- Identify potential partnerships and new routes to market.
- Represent the company professionally within the UAE marketplace.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Landscape Architecture or a related discipline.
- 10+ years' experience in business development within architecture, engineering, landscape, urban design or related consultancy.
- Strong knowledge of the UAE market, particularly Abu Dhabi.
- Established network across developers, government/semi-government organisations, asset owners and AEC professionals.
- Proven track record of generating opportunities and winning consultancy work.
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
- Commercially driven, proactive and highly relationship-focused.
- Fluent English required; Arabic would be an advantage.
