We are working with a consultancy who are seeking a skilled AutoCAD Technician to join our infrastructure development team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in drafting and designing infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, utilities, and drainage systems. This role requires proficiency in AutoCAD and related software to create technical drawings that support engineering and construction teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings for infrastructure projects using AutoCAD and other drafting software.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to develop technical plans and schematics.
  • Ensure that all drawings comply with industry standards, regulations, and client specifications.
  • Update and revise drawings based on feedback from engineers and project stakeholders.
  • Maintain organized records of drawings and project documentation.
  • Assist in quantity take-offs, cost estimations, and project planning.
  • Conduct site visits to collect data and verify drawing accuracy when necessary.
  • Support the preparation of reports and presentations for project proposals.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Associate’s degree, diploma, or certification in Drafting, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in drafting for infrastructure projects.
  • Technical Skills:Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D), Civil 3D, or similar software.
  • Familiarity with GIS, Revit, or MicroStation is a plus.
  • Understanding of engineering concepts related to roads, bridges, utilities, and land development.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
