You will work across a varied portfolio of coastal protection, flood risk, shoreline management and coastal adaptation projects, supporting clients in addressing the challenges of climate change and rising sea levels.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
- A degree in Civil Engineering, Coastal Engineering, Oceanography or a relevant engineering discipline.
- Significant experience within coastal engineering, ideally gained within an engineering or environmental consultancy.
- Experience delivering coastal engineering assessments, feasibility studies, technical reports and detailed engineering designs.
- Strong understanding of coastal processes, hydrodynamics, sediment transport, coastal erosion and flood risk management.
- Experience with coastal numerical modelling, such as wave, tidal, hydrodynamic or sediment transport modelling packages.
- Involvement in the design and assessment of coastal protection, sea defences, flood alleviation and shoreline management schemes.
- Experience managing projects, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and developing relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
- Chartered or working towards Chartered status with a relevant professional institution (ICE, CIWEM or equivalent).
This is an excellent opportunity to join an established international consultancy, work on technically challenging coastal projects and play a key role in the continued growth of its coastal engineering capabilities.
