They are looking to recruit a Structural Design Engineer with around two years of consultancy experience to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to develop their technical skills, gain exposure to a diverse range of building structures and work alongside experienced engineers on projects from concept through to detailed design and construction. The successful candidate will contribute to the design of structural solutions across a variety of sectors, working with different materials and structural systems while developing their experience in analysis, calculations, drawings and project coordination.

Key Requirements:

  • Approximately two years' experience working within a structural engineering consultancy or similar design environment.

  • Experience contributing to the structural design of a range of building projects, ideally across residential, commercial, educational or mixed-use developments.

  • Working knowledge of structural design principles relating to steel, reinforced concrete, masonry and timber structures.

  • Experience undertaking structural calculations, analysis and design in accordance with relevant British Standards and Eurocodes.

  • Familiarity with structural engineering software such as Tekla Structural Designer, Tedds, Robot, ETABS or similar packages.

  • Ability to produce and interpret structural drawings, calculations, technical reports and design documentation.

  • Good communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with senior engineers, architects, contractors and other design professionals.

  • A relevant degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, with a genuine interest in developing towards professional qualification through ICE or IStructE.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected engineering consultancy, gain experience across a varied portfolio of building projects and progress your career within a supportive technical team.
