We are seeking a skilled Engineer or Senior Civil Infrastructure Engineer to join a consultancy in Newcastle, United Kingdom. As a key member of our Civil Engineering Design firm, you will be responsible to designing infrastructure projects, Review and project manage projects whilst mentoring junior staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in civil engineering and be passionate to learn and develop towards chartership. 

This design Consultancy work on projects in the UK and overseas delivering sustainable and development Infrastructure for private and public sector clients. The office is a multidisciplinary which work together across projects to deliver the highest standard of work. They work in the residential, Railway, Maritime, Structural sectors which you will leading in the drainage and highway design.

 

Experience

- Bachelor's degree (BSc or BEng) in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred 

- 3 years of experience in civil engineering with a focus on infrastructure design and project management 

- Proficiency in relevant engineering software such as AutoCAD  Civil 3D/ PDS, Microdrainage / Info Drainage PDS and other design tools 

- Strong understanding of regulatory standards, codes, and guidelines related to infrastructure design and construction 

- Excellent communication skills

- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities 

- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development 

- Take ownership in your team and help mentor junior staff

- Review designs and project work to the highest standard to deliver on the clients expectations

- Liaise with clients and Stakeholders

- Ability to manage work load and work to tight deadlines
