Our client is a highly regarded British civil engineering design consultancy with a strong track record of delivering complex and innovative projects across the UK and Europe. With offices in London, Surrey, Leeds, Glasgow and Bristol, they work across a wide range of sectors including bridges, rail, high-rise and commercial buildings. Their reputation for technical excellence and creative problem-solving has made them a trusted partner on both national and international infrastructure schemes.

We are seeking a Geotechnical Engineer with around five years of experience to join their growing team. In this role, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality geotechnical design and analysis across a range of civil engineering projects. You’ll be responsible for preparing design calculations, supporting technical documentation, and collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams. In addition to core geotechnical design work, you’ll also gain exposure to temporary works, site construction management and planning — ideal for an engineer looking to broaden their technical and practical experience.

Qualifications & Experience Required:

  • Approximately 5 years’ experience in geotechnical engineering design.

  • Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Experience producing geotechnical design calculations and technical reports.

  • Exposure to, or an interest in, temporary works, site management, or construction planning.

  • Strong understanding of soil mechanics and ground engineering principles.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Chartered status or working towards chartership (ICE or equivalent) preferred.

In return, our client offers the opportunity to join a collaborative and forward-thinking consultancy with a diverse portfolio of projects across the UK and Europe. You’ll benefit from structured career development, mentoring from experienced engineers, and the chance to work on technically challenging and high-profile designs. A competitive salary and benefits package are on offer, along with genuine opportunities for progression. If you’re a motivated Geotechnical Engineer looking to take the next step in your career, we’d love to hear from you — apply today to join this ambitious and dynamic team.
