Senior Geotechnical Engineer – Leeds

We are seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our client's expanding Leeds office. In this role, you will lead and manage geotechnical projects from inception through to completion, providing technical expertise on ground investigations, foundation design, slope stability, retaining structures, and earthworks. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior engineers, liaise with clients and contractors, and play a key role in delivering technically robust and commercially successful projects.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology, or a related discipline.
- Significant experience delivering geotechnical engineering projects within a UK consultancy environment.
- Strong knowledge of ground investigations, geotechnical interpretation, foundation design, earthworks, retaining structures, and slope stability analysis.
- Proficient in relevant geotechnical design software and familiar with current UK standards, Eurocodes, and industry best practices.
- Experience managing projects, coordinating site investigations, and producing high-quality technical reports and design documentation.
- Strong client-facing skills with the ability to develop relationships, manage project delivery, and contribute to business development opportunities.
- Experience mentoring and supporting junior engineers and technicians.
- Chartered status (CEng or CGeol), or actively working towards professional accreditation, is highly desirable.
