Our client is a respected British engineering consultancy specialising in heavy civils, ports, and harbours, with a strong presence across the UK through offices in London, Scotland, and the South West of England. They are recognised for delivering technically challenging projects that shape critical infrastructure and coastal environments, while maintaining a strong reputation for innovation and engineering excellence.

We are currently seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join their growing team, with flexibility to be based in any of their offices, though there is a preference for London. In this role, you will be responsible for geotechnical design and modelling across a range of projects, supporting both infrastructure and building schemes. While prior experience in ports and harbours is not essential, you will bring a solid foundation in geotechnical engineering and contribute your technical expertise to help deliver high-quality solutions for complex projects. This role also offers an opportunity to travel globally.

Qualifications & Experience Required:

  • 3–6 years’ experience in geotechnical engineering design and modelling.

  • Proven background working on infrastructure and/or building projects.

  • Strong technical knowledge in soil mechanics, ground modelling, and geotechnical analysis software.

  • Chartered or working towards chartership status (ICE or similar) is desirable.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

In return, our client offers a supportive and collaborative environment where you’ll gain exposure to challenging and diverse projects, with opportunities for career development and progression. You’ll enjoy a competitive salary, a flexible working arrangement, bonuses, opportunities to travel, and the chance to make a tangible impact on nationally significant engineering schemes. If you’re a motivated Geotechnical Engineer ready to take the next step in your career, we would be delighted to hear from you—apply today to join this forward-thinking consultancy.
