We are currently recruiting for a forward-thinking civil engineering consultancy seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer with 2+ years’ experience. This is an exciting role for someone looking to further develop their career in civil or structural engineering, working on a diverse range of projects both in the office and on-site.
You’ll work closely with senior engineers, gaining hands-on experience in design, analysis, reporting, and project management. This role offers real responsibility and exposure to client-facing work, with opportunities to progress toward Chartered status.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting the development of engineering designs, calculations, and technical reports.
- Preparing drawings, specifications, and tender/fee proposals.
- Attending site visits and surveys under supervision.
- Applying relevant design codes and standards (e.g., British Standards, Eurocodes).
- Assisting senior engineers with project planning, execution, and documentation.
- Working to project timelines and budgets while maintaining clear communication with Project Managers.
- Engaging in ongoing training and professional development.
Who We’re Looking For
Qualifications & Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (ICE/IStructE accredited).
- 2:1 degree classification or equivalent.
- Commitment to progressing toward Chartered status.
Experience
- 2+ years’ relevant experience in civil or structural engineering.
- Exposure to design, analysis, or site-based work.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Bentley MicroStation.
- Strong attention to detail with adherence to quality assurance processes.

- Highly motivated with a positive outlook and approachable manner.
- Willing to learn, adapt, and take on site responsibilities as required.
Additional Requirements
- Full, clean driving license is advantageous.
- Willingness to travel to sites and occasionally work overnight or weekends.
