Our client is a well-established independent and boutique consultancy group specialising in geoenvironmental services, site investigation, and design. With offices in London and Leeds, they have built a strong reputation for technical expertise and client-focused solutions. Their London office is a growing hub for specialists in land contamination, offering early-career professionals the chance to work in a collaborative, knowledge-rich environment at the heart of the industry.

We are seeking motivated geo-environmental graduates and early career professionals to join the land contamination team in Central London. This role requires full-time office attendance initially and offers an excellent opportunity to develop technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and client management experience. Responsibilities will include preparing Phase I desk studies, Phase II geo-environmental interpretative reports, and remediation verification reports, assisting senior colleagues with detailed risk assessments and remediation strategies, and managing suitable projects with direct client contact.

Key qualifications and skills:

  • Strong degree in environmental science, geoscience, or geology (postgraduate study or professional experience in contaminated land risk assessment highly desirable)

  • Knowledge of contaminated land risk assessment, including conceptual site models, preliminary risk assessments, and GQRA for human health and controlled waters

  • Affinity with contaminant fate modelling and an understanding of engineering geology/ground engineering preferred

  • Experience with GIS or coding would be advantageous

  • Strong technical ability, enthusiasm for the discipline, and excellent client care skills

In return, the company offers a supportive and specialist environment where you’ll gain exposure to high-quality projects, continuous professional development, and the chance to work alongside recognised experts in the field. If you’re ready to take the next step in your career and contribute to delivering innovative geoenvironmental solutions, we encourage you to apply today.
