We are a leading Transport Planning consultancy dedicated to delivering innovative and sustainable infrastructure solutions. We are looking for a talented and motivated Highways Engineer to join our dynamic team and contribute to delivering cutting-edge highway and transport projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and Analysis: Develop detailed highway designs using software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroDrainage, ensuring compliance with DMRB and local authority standards.
  • Project Management: Support the delivery of highway and infrastructure projects from feasibility through to construction, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with clients, local authorities, and contractors to develop and agree on design solutions.
  • Technical Reporting: Prepare high-quality technical reports, drawings, and specifications for planning applications and design submissions.
  • Site Supervision: Provide technical support during construction, including inspections and resolving design-related queries.
  • Sustainability Focus: Contribute to projects with innovative and sustainable design practices, prioritizing carbon reduction and climate resilience.

About You:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
  • Chartered or working towards Chartership with ICE, CIHT, or similar institution.
  • Proven experience in highway design, ideally within a consultancy environment.
  • Familiarity with relevant design standards (e.g., DMRB, Manual for Streets).
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
  • A proactive and collaborative team player with a commitment to professional development.
