Highways Technician

Access Talent Group are recruiting for a highways and traffic engineering design consultancy who are on the look out for a Highways Technician. You will work in both Public and Private sectors throughout the UK. Their Engineer have a broad range of experience in delivering minor highway improvements to major highway infrastructure projects.

The role:

- Ensuring the health and safety needs and wellbeing of customers and employees are fully considered and accounted for throughout the planning and delivery of each service activity.

- Supporting the identification and evaluation of asset specific needs in order to develop future maintenance, renewals and improvement solutions.

- To support the development of asset renewals and improvement plans, in line with agreed methodologies and prioritisation criteria.

- Providing support in the identification and management of asset studies and survey works.

- To input into the development of early solutions for improvements and/or renewals, including the compiling of relevant documents, evidence and options for value management.

- Supporting the development of technical briefs provided to the design and construction contractor for improvement and renewals work

Essential:

- Good understanding of the function of Highways England and the importance of the Strategic Road Network

- Good personal impact and the ability to inspire confidence and positive action

- Good communication skills

- Strong customer focus
