As we continue to expand our footprint in Bristol, we’re looking for a passionate and capable Bridge Engineer to join our close-knit team and help shape the future of our infrastructure offering.

The Role

As a Bridge Engineer, you’ll play a key part in the design, assessment, and inspection of highway and rail structures. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers on a variety of projects ranging from small footbridges to complex multi-span structures for both public and private clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake the design and assessment of bridges and associated structures
  • Prepare drawings, specifications, and reports for new-build and refurbishment projects
  • Conduct site inspections and structural surveys
  • Liaise with clients, local authorities, and contractors
  • Support the development of junior engineers as the team grows

About You

We’re looking for someone who’s enthusiastic, self-driven, and ready to take the next step in their engineering career.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience working with bridges or civil structures
  • Working knowledge of Eurocodes and British Standards
  • Experience with design software such as AutoCAD, LUSAS, MIDAS or similar
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Desirable:

  • Progress towards chartership (CEng or IEng)
  • Experience working with local authorities or national infrastructure clients (e.g., National Highways, Network Rail)

What We Offer

  • A supportive and flexible working environment
  • Opportunities to grow with a company that values your input
  • Professional development support, including chartership mentoring
  • Hybrid working options
  • Regular team socials and wellbeing initiatives
