Associate Transport Planner

As an Associate, you'll lead project teams, shape transport strategies, and help steer the future of transport in the UK and beyond.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading and managing the delivery of transport planning projects across development, infrastructure, and public sector portfolios
• Advising clients and key stakeholders on strategic transport issues, modelling, policy, and development planning
• Managing project teams and mentoring junior staff to deliver high-quality, innovative solutions
• Preparing and reviewing technical reports, business cases, and transport assessments
• Engaging in business development, including proposal writing, client engagement, and framework bids

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in transport planning, ideally within a consultancy environment
• Strong understanding of UK transport policy, guidance (DfT, NPPF, TAG), and planning regulations
• Expertise in transport modelling (e.g. Junctions 9/10, LinSig, VISUM, or VISSIM) and analytical tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Chartered or working towards chartership (CIHT, TPS, ICE or similar)
• Passion for sustainable mobility, smart cities, and data-led planning
