We’re recruiting on behalf of a leading international environmental and engineering consultancy with a well-established presence across the UK and beyond. Following a recent strategic acquisition and a series of major project wins, our client is entering an exciting phase of growth. With significant infrastructure and utilities frameworks secured across England and Scotland, and a growing portfolio of specialist hydrogeology and geothermal energy projects in Canada and Ireland, they are now looking to expand their UK-based team with the addition of a skilled Hydrogeologist.

This role offers a diverse mix of field-based and office-based responsibilities, supporting the delivery of technically complex hydrogeological assessments and environmental consultancy services. You’ll work on a variety of infrastructure, energy, and water resource projects, conducting site investigations, groundwater monitoring, and risk assessments. While site travel will be required, the company supports a flexible working model, and the position can be based from any UK location—provided the candidate is located within reasonable travel distance to one of their UK offices.

Key qualifications and experience:

  • A degree (BSc/MSc) in Hydrogeology, Geology, Environmental Science, or a related discipline

  • Experience in groundwater monitoring, site investigation, and hydrogeological risk assessments

  • Familiarity with regulatory guidance and environmental permitting in the UK

  • Strong report writing and data interpretation skills

  • Comfortable with both fieldwork and office-based analysis

  • Full UK driving licence

  • Must have the right to live and work in the UK

In return, our client offers a competitive salary, industry-leading benefits, and a flexible working environment designed to support career development and work-life balance. You’ll be joining a collaborative and forward-thinking consultancy with real opportunities to grow, contribute to international projects, and shape the future of sustainable hydrogeology and geothermal solutions. If this sounds like the right move for you, we’d love to hear from you.
