ATG are seeking a Hydrogeologist to join a fast-growing Dublin-based team. You will be responsible for assessing groundwater resources, conducting hydrogeological surveys, and developing models to support sustainable water management.
Key tasks include groundwater sampling, data analysis, and preparing technical reports for environmental and construction projects. Collaborate with engineers, environmental scientists, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with local water regulations.
- Groundwater Assessment: Conduct site investigations, groundwater sampling, and hydrogeological modeling to assess aquifer properties and groundwater flow
- Data Analysis: Analyze hydrogeological data using specialized software to assess water quality, pollution risks, and aquifer sustainability.
- Field Work: Perform groundwater monitoring, borehole drilling oversight, aquifer testing, and environmental sampling.
- Project Management: Assist in the design and management of hydrogeological and environmental projects, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
- Reporting: Prepare detailed technical reports, including data interpretation, groundwater models, and risk assessments. Present findings to clients and stakeholders.
- Environmental Impact Assessments: Support environmental teams in preparing hydrogeological input for Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs), Strategic Environmental Assessments (SEAs), and planning applications.
- Consultation and Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, environmental scientists, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders to ensure water resource projects meet legal and sustainability requirements.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all work complies with local and EU regulations related to groundwater protection, waste management, and environmental sustainability.
Requirements:
- Degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, or related field
- Experience in groundwater modeling and site investigations
- Knowledge of Irish water regulations
- Strong analytical and communication skills
