Junior Mechanical Estimator

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established M&E construction contractor who are looking to add a Junior Mechanical Estimator to their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone at the early stages of their career—whether you have some estimating experience or have recently graduated in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

The Role
As a Junior Mechanical Estimator, you’ll work closely with the senior estimating team to:

• Support the preparation of cost estimates for mechanical projects
• Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documents
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations
• Assist in developing bid proposals and cost plans
• Contribute to value engineering and project costing strategies

This role offers excellent exposure to the full tendering process and provides a solid pathway to progress into a fully-fledged Mechanical Estimator role.

You’ll be a great fit if you have:

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar (ideal for recent graduates!)
• OR some experience in an estimating, assistant estimator, or junior engineering role
• Strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills
• Good communication and a willingness to learn
• A proactive, detail-focused mindset
