Junior Quantity Surveyor

We are working on behalf of a well-established cost management consultancy that specialises in public works construction projects. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured public-sector work, they are now seeking to appoint a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career Quantity Surveyor to gain hands-on experience across a wide range of public works projects while being mentored by senior professionals in a supportive consultancy environment.

The Role

As a Junior Quantity Surveyor, you will support the delivery of cost management services from project inception through to final account, including:

• Assisting with cost planning, estimates, and budgets
• Measurement and preparation of Bills of Quantities
• Supporting tender documentation and tender analysis
• Assisting with valuations, cost reports, and financial control
• Liaising with clients, design teams, and contractors
• Gaining exposure to public works contracts and procedures

About You

• Degree qualified (or working towards) in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
• Graduate level or up to 1–2 years’ experience in consultancy or contracting
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Interest in public sector and public works projects
• Proactive, organised, and keen to learn
