We are seeking a skilled Principal Flood risk Engineer to join a team in the Manchester, with other offices considered in the United Kingdom. You will be working as part of a large flood and hydrology team working on a wide range of environmental, Civil and water projects.
As a key member of the Flood risk team, my client are looking for a leader who has experience with Flood risk assessments, Flood models and Environmental planning. You will be leading the Engineering team working on private and public sector infrastructure projects nationally. You will be working on providing drainage strategies and natural flood risk management, on a portfolio consisting of Flood alleviation schemes, Water utilities leakage and models, Master planning for housing developers. These projects will range from £15,000 to £100m.
Candidate Profile
- Have experience in Project management and leading technical delivery and design of a range of flood risk projects.
- Experience of writing flood risk assessments and reports
- Bachelor's degree Master's degree preferred
- 6 / 8 years of experience in Flood risk engineering
- Proven track record of successfully delivering infrastructure projects within budget and timeline
- Have experience in writing business cases to present to internal and external partners
- Software experience – Civil 3D, Auto CAD, ArcGIS, Tuflow and Flood Modeller pro
- have an interest or experience in business development
