We are proud to be working with the largest independent Geotechnical Contractor in the UK—and one of the most respected names in Europe—on an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager or Contracts Manager. With a long-standing reputation for innovation, technical excellence, and delivering complex ground investigation projects, our client continues to set the standard across the industry. As they expand their senior team, they’re looking for someone with the right blend of technical understanding and client-facing confidence to take their projects to the next level.

In this role, you’ll play a pivotal part in overseeing the full project lifecycle—from initial scoping and stakeholder engagement to delivery and post-project review. You’ll work closely with estimators and liaise directly with end clients, ensuring each project runs smoothly, on time, and within budget. While a background in ground investigations is highly advantageous, the real key to success here is the ability to lead with clarity, communicate effectively across technical and commercial teams, and confidently represent the business in front of clients.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager or Contracts Manager within the geotechnical or construction sector

  • Strong understanding of ground investigations and subsurface engineering

  • Ability to liaise confidently with stakeholders including estimators, clients, and internal delivery teams

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • Comfortable managing multiple projects with a focus on quality, safety, and budget control

  • Full UK driving license and willingness to attend office meetings a few times a week

This is a brilliant opportunity to join a forward-thinking company that truly values flexibility and work-life balance—expect just 2–3 days in the office per week, with the rest of your time managed to suit you and your projects. If you’re ready to bring your geotechnical expertise and client management skills into a dynamic, respected, and growing organisation, we’d love to hear from you.
