Senior Building Services Engineer

This is a key leadership role for an experienced engineer who wants to take ownership of major projects including schools, hotels, and commercial developments, while playing a vital part in the continued growth of a respected Irish consultancy.

The Role

As Senior Building Services Engineer, you will lead the design and delivery of building services systems across multiple high-profile projects. You will work closely with clients, architects, and project teams to ensure efficient, compliant, and high-quality outcomes from concept through construction and handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead building services design for education, hospitality & commercial projects
• Deliver mechanical & electrical systems to the highest technical standards
• Manage project programmes, resources, and deliverables
• Act as primary technical contact for clients and stakeholders
• Oversee quality assurance, compliance & design coordination
• Support junior engineers through mentoring and technical leadership
• Contribute to continuous improvement of design standards and processes

Experience & Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Building Services, Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline
• 7+ years’ experience in building services consultancy
• Proven track record delivering schools, hotels, and commercial projects
• Strong knowledge of Irish building regulations & standards
• Confident client-facing communicator and team leader
• Experience managing multidisciplinary design teams
