This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of projects from feasibility through planning, detailed design and construction, while working closely with clients, contractors and local authorities.
Projects include:
• Private residential developments including high rise and low rise housing projects nationwide
• Public sector residential developments for Local Authorities and the Land Development Agency
• Refurbishment of historic structures for public and private sector clients
• New build commercial office and hotel developments
• Office and hotel refurbishments and fit outs
• Industrial and data centre projects
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead infrastructure design for development projects from concept through construction
• Design SuDS systems, drainage networks and watermain infrastructure
• Design roads and access infrastructure in accordance with TII and DMURS standards
• Prepare engineering reports for planning including engineering services reports and flood risk assessments
• Prepare tender and construction stage designs and specifications
• Carry out BCAR inspections and site visits during construction
• Attend design team meetings and liaise with clients, contractors and local authorities
• Manage project delivery and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams
Requirements
• Degree in Civil Engineering (Level 8+)
• 5+ years civil engineering consultancy experience
• Minimum 2 years experience within an Irish engineering consultancy
• Experience designing roads, drainage and water infrastructure
• Knowledge of Uisce Éireann standards and Irish planning requirements
• Experience using AutoCAD and drainage modelling software such as InfoDrainage
• Experience with Civil 3D desirable
• Chartered Engineer or working toward Engineers Ireland chartership
