We are an ambitious, design-led Civil and Structural Engineering consultancy with a strong reputation for technical excellence and client service. Following sustained success from our established Birmingham office, we’ve recently opened a new office in Bristol to serve a growing portfolio of projects in the South West.

This is an exciting time to join us as a Senior Civil / Structural Engineer and play a key role in shaping our Bristol team from the ground up. We offer the agility and energy of a startup with the support and security of an experienced and well-respected Midlands practice.

The Role

As a Senior Engineer, you'll take a lead role in the delivery of civil and structural designs, working on a diverse range of projects across the residential, commercial, heritage, and public sectors. You'll collaborate directly with clients, manage junior staff, and help steer the growth and culture of our new Bristol office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and deliver structural and/or civil engineering design packages.
  • Act as Project Engineer on a range of schemes, from feasibility to construction stage.
  • Liaise directly with clients, architects, and contractors to deliver coordinated solutions.
  • Provide mentorship and support to junior engineers and graduates.
  • Assist with business development and growing the local client base.
  • Help shape and define workflows, standards, and culture within the Bristol office.

What We’re Looking For

  • Degree-qualified (BEng/MEng) in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Chartered or working towards chartership (ICE / IStructE).
  • 6+ years of UK consultancy experience in structural or civil design.
  • Strong technical ability and problem-solving mindset.
  • Experience working with modern design software (e.g., Tekla, Tedds, AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D).
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach and enthusiasm for team-building.

Why Join Us?

  • Be a founding member of our Bristol team with real influence.
  • Work in a people-focused SME where your input matters.
  • Hybrid/flexible working and support for work-life balance.
  • Clear path to associate/director-level progression as we grow.
  • A friendly, collaborative culture rooted in technical excellence and shared success.
