Senior Electrical Engineer – Data Centres
Location: Dublin, Ireland (Hybrid)
Salary: €80,000–€100,000 per annum
We are looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join a growing specialist data centre consultancy. This is a hands-on role with significant responsibility for the design and delivery of complex electrical systems across major data centre projects, including hyperscale, colocation, fit-out and new-build developments.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design of MV/LV distribution, UPS, generators, earthing & bonding and ELV systems.Produce and review technical specifications, calculations, SLDs and project reports.Carry out calculations including fault level, discrimination and cable sizing using tools such as ETAP and Amtech.Review technical work produced by junior engineers and ensure quality and compliance.Coordinate electrical packages with mechanical teams and other disciplines.Attend client and site meetings and monitor installation against the design.Mentor and support Graduate and Intermediate Engineers.
About You
5+ years' electrical engineering design experience, ideally within consultancy.Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.Strong experience with MV/LV, UPS and generator systems.Data centre experience is highly desirable, with candidates from other critical or high-tech environments also considered.CEng qualified or actively working towards chartership.Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit, with experience in ETAP, Amtech/Simaris and Dialux/Relux.Strong knowledge of BS 7671, CIBSE, IS and relevant EN standards.Excellent communication, coordination and leadership skills.
