We are working in partnership with a well-established European multidisciplinary consultancy that continues to grow its presence in the UK. With three offices nationally and a strong pipeline of complex infrastructure projects, they have built a reputation for technical excellence and innovative design. Their London office is currently expanding its geotechnical capability to support a series of major linear infrastructure projects across the UK and Europe. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative, international team with a clear focus on professional development and engineering excellence.

We are looking to speak with Geotechnical Design Engineers with 5–8 years of experience who are ready to take the next step in their careers. The successful candidate will work on a range of linear infrastructure projects—such as rail, highways, or utilities—providing geotechnical design input and technical leadership within multidisciplinary teams. You will contribute to ground investigations, slope stability analysis, foundation and retaining wall design, and the preparation of design reports. You’ll also work closely with senior engineers and clients to ensure high standards of delivery across every stage of the project lifecycle.

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related discipline

  • 5–8 years of experience in geotechnical design

  • Strong background in linear infrastructure projects (e.g., rail, highways, utilities)

  • Chartered status (CEng or equivalent) preferred; candidates actively working towards it are also encouraged

  • Experience with geotechnical analysis software (e.g., PLAXIS, Wallap, SLOPE/W)

  • Excellent report writing, communication, and collaboration skills

  • Eligibility to work in the UK

This is a great opportunity to join a consultancy that actively supports your journey to chartership with a structured and accelerated programme. You’ll be part of a dynamic London-based team with access to major infrastructure projects, career progression opportunities, and the support of a wider international group. A competitive salary and benefits package is on offer, along with hybrid working options and a strong commitment to work-life balance. If you’re a motivated Geotechnical Engineer looking to grow in a supportive and ambitious environment, we’d love to hear from you.
