Senior Geotechnical Engineer

Access Talent Group has partnered with an SME Geotechnical, Structural and Geosciences consultancy to support their Geotechnical Engineering team expansion. Our client has multiple office located across Europe, with the majority of their team based from Central London. Due to continued success and new contracts being awarded in Australia, the UK and Europe, our client are looking to add a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to their London office. Our client’s office space is spread across two floors, with an additional roof terrace with great views of the central London skyline.

The successful candidate will be expected to hit the ground running on get involved from day one on legacy projects, as well as new design schemes for large scale infrastructure programmes. Our client is looking for candidates who can contribute to all levels of the design process for rail, highways and tunnelling contracts across Europe and the UK, while also learning on the fly to build commercial awareness and knowledge so that you can gain the required experience to progress up the ladder. Our client would also require you to be able to contribute to the mentoring of junior or graduate engineers, allowing you to develop your soft skills. This role will require a small amount of travel from time to time, visiting client offices and project sites.

To qualify for this role, candidates must have:

• Right to live and work in the UK
   
• A degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or similar
   
• Achieved Chartered Engineer status or be close to doing so
   
• Experience in Geotechnical Infrastructure projects – Preferably Tunnelling Experience
   
• The ability to work in a London Office 3 days a week
