Access have partnered with a global civil engineering and geotechnical consultancy who are expanding their Geotechnical Engineering team in the UK. Our client operates in over 50 countries worldwide, employing close to 60,000 people across a wide range of sector and services disciplines including transportation, defence, geotechnical and environmental engineering and oil and gas. Our client is currently undertaking a global recruitment drive, particularly in the competitive Geotechnical and Environmental teams in the UK – due to several contract wins in the nuclear sector, our client is looking for Geo Engineers to work on highly complex and exclusive projects.
The successful candidate will be expected to fulfil Task Lead and Project Checker tasks on large scale nuclear projects, getting involved with design and design analysis processes from start to finish. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated expert in Numerical Modelling and FEA, particularly focussed on Seismic Engineering and Soil structure interaction. The role will include the mentoring of junior staff and therefore good communication skills are essential. Candidates should have the right flare and ability that will help my client develop and expand their infrastructure geotechnics capability by building on the existing portfolio of our rapidly expanding, flexible and outward looking team that can tackle work across a broad spectrum of sectors.
To qualify for the role, candidates MUST have
- Achieved Chartered Engineer/Geologist status
- A degree in Civil Engineering or a similar relevant topic
- Strong Numerical Modelling expereince
- Soil structure and Siesmic Engineering Expereince
- Have the right to live and work in the UK
