Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a knack for managing costs and ensuring the success of residential construction projects? Our client, a leading player in residential construction, is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of cost control, ensuring projects are delivered within budgetary constraints.
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost estimates for residential construction projects.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop cost-effective solutions.
- Procure materials and subcontractors, negotiating favourable terms and ensuring quality standards are met.
- Analyse project specifications and drawings to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
- Prepare and submit progress reports, valuations, and final accounts.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior quantity surveyors within the team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the residential construction sector.
- In-depth knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and cost management techniques.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software such as CostX, Bluebeam, or similar.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Membership or eligibility for membership with a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS).
