Senior Quantity Surveyor

Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a knack for managing costs and ensuring the success of residential construction projects? Our client, a leading player in residential construction, is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of cost control, ensuring projects are delivered within budgetary constraints.
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost estimates for residential construction projects.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop cost-effective solutions.
• Procure materials and subcontractors, negotiating favourable terms and ensuring quality standards are met.
• Analyse project specifications and drawings to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
• Prepare and submit progress reports, valuations, and final accounts.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior quantity surveyors within the team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the residential construction sector.
• In-depth knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and cost management techniques.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficiency in industry-standard software such as CostX, Bluebeam, or similar.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Membership or eligibility for membership with a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS).
