Are you a seasoned Quantity Surveyor with a background in structural steel or fabrication?
Our client — a well-established and rapidly growing specialist in steel fabrication — is seeking an experienced and driven Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be a key commercial figure in the delivery of high-profile industrial, infrastructure, and commercial projects across the Ireland.
About the Client:
Our client has built a strong reputation in delivering complex and bespoke steelwork packages across a range of sectors including construction, energy, infrastructure, and manufacturing. Known for their quality, innovation, and reliability, they are now scaling operations and looking for a skilled QS to help steer project success.
Role Responsibilities:
- Lead commercial management of multiple projects from tender through to final account
- Preparation and negotiation of contracts, subcontracts, and variations
- Cost planning, forecasting, and control throughout the project lifecycle
- Risk identification and value engineering
- Interface with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure cost-effective project delivery
- Preparation of monthly valuations and cash flow forecasts
- Mentor and support junior members of the commercial team
About You:
- Proven experience in a Quantity Surveyor role, ideally 5+ years
- Background in steel fabrication, structural steelwork, or heavy civils is essential
- Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar (RICS membership desirable)
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and contract management skills
- Proficient in relevant software (e.g., MS Excel, CostX, or similar)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
