Are you a commercially minded Estimator with experience in modular construction or offsite building solutions? We're recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing and highly reputable modular building specialist who is looking to appoint a Senior Estimator to join their dynamic team.
About the Company
Our client is a well-established leader in the modular construction sector, delivering innovative and sustainable building solutions across healthcare, education, commercial, and residential sectors. With a strong pipeline of work and growing demand, they are looking to strengthen their pre-construction team with a forward-thinking Senior Estimator.
The Role
As Senior Estimator, you will play a key role in the tendering process, from initial enquiry through to final submission. You’ll work closely with internal design, commercial, and delivery teams, providing accurate cost planning, risk assessments, and value engineering for modular projects ranging from £500k to £10m+.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for modular construction projects
- Analyse drawings, specifications, and technical documents
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing
- Evaluate risk, opportunity, and programme implications during tender stage
- Contribute to value engineering and alternative solutions
- Attend client meetings and presentations where required
- Support the continuous improvement of estimating processes and systems
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in estimating within modular construction or offsite manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of modern construction methods and cost planning
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
- Strong communicator and team player
- Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office
- Relevant qualifications in construction, quantity surveying, or a related field
