Are you a seasoned Quantity Surveyor looking to make a meaningful impact in the construction industry? Look no further! We are on the hunt for a talented Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our esteemed client's team, specialising in enriching social housing projects.

Your Role:
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll play a pivotal role in managing the financial aspects of social housing projects from inception to completion. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting cost analysis and providing accurate estimates for materials, labour, and equipment.
  • Collaborating closely with project managers and stakeholders to ensure budgetary compliance and timely project delivery.
  • Overseeing procurement activities and negotiating contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Identifying cost-saving opportunities and implementing value engineering strategies.
  • Monitoring project progress and conducting regular site visits to assess financial performance and address any discrepancies.
  • Mentoring junior members of the team and providing expert guidance on quantity surveying best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry, with a focus on social housing projects.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard quantity surveying software and tools.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Chartered status with a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS) is desirable but not essential.
