Our client is a leading British civil and structural engineering design consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering technically challenging and architecturally significant projects. Operating across the UK and Europe, they work on a diverse portfolio that includes bridges, rail infrastructure, high-rise developments, and large commercial buildings. With offices in London, Surrey, Leeds, Glasgow, and Bristol, they combine local expertise with international experience to deliver innovative and sustainable engineering solutions.

We are seeking a Structural Engineer with approximately five years of experience to join their growing team. In this role, you will be involved in the design and delivery of a wide range of structural projects, preparing calculations, technical drawings, and reports while collaborating closely with engineers and architects across disciplines. You’ll play an integral role in ensuring the quality, safety, and buildability of designs, while also gaining exposure to temporary works, construction management, and site planning — ideal for an engineer who wants to broaden their practical understanding alongside their design expertise.

Qualifications & Experience Required:

  • Around 5 years’ experience in structural engineering design.

  • Degree-qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering (BEng, MEng, or equivalent).

  • Experience delivering designs for buildings or infrastructure projects.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using structural analysis and design software.

  • Exposure to, or interest in, temporary works, site management, or construction planning.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Chartered status or working towards chartership with the ICE or IStructE (preferred).

In return, our client offers the opportunity to join a dynamic and forward-thinking consultancy where you can work on some of the most interesting and complex engineering projects in the UK and Europe. You’ll receive a competitive salary, ongoing professional development support, and the chance to progress within a respected and supportive organisation. If you’re an ambitious Structural Engineer looking to take your career to the next level, we’d love to hear from you — apply today to join a business where your talent and ideas will be valued.
