A growing, independent transport planning consultancy in the heart of Leicester is looking to expand its team by bringing in a strong Associate Transport Planner. The company works across a range of transport planning projects, including development planning, traffic modelling, sustainable travel strategies, and transport assessments, delivering innovative and practical solutions for clients.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage transport planning projects from inception to delivery, including Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, and modelling studies.
- Provide technical oversight and mentorship to junior planners and graduates.
- Liaise directly with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders to deliver tailored solutions.
- Undertake and review traffic and transport modelling, including junction modelling and micro-simulation where required.
- Contribute to business development and growth initiatives, helping to shape the future of the consultancy.
- Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest professional standard.
About You
Essential:
- Degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Significant experience in transport planning (minimum 5–7 years), ideally within consultancy.
- Proven experience in project management and client engagement.
- Strong understanding of UK transport planning policy, guidance, and modelling techniques.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small team environment.
Desirable:
- Chartered or working towards Chartered Membership of CIHT (MCIHT).
- Experience in TRICS, TEMPro, LinSig, Junctions, VISSIM, or similar software.
- Previous experience working in a small consultancy environment, helping to grow teams or services.
