Role Overview
The BIM Technician will play a key role in the development, coordination, and delivery of digital models and drawings to support design and construction projects. This position requires a strong understanding of BIM processes, attention to detail, and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage 3D models using Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and other BIM tools
- Assist in the preparation of coordinated BIM models for use in design, construction, and facilities management
- Generate accurate and detailed 2D drawings and schedules from models
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure coordinated design output
- Perform clash detection and coordination reviews
- Maintain BIM standards and contribute to the continuous improvement of workflows
- Support site teams with BIM-related deliverables and queries
- Participate in project meetings and provide input on digital delivery strategies
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in BIM, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
- 2+ years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction or engineering sector
- Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and related software
- Familiarity with ISO 19650 standards and BIM Execution Plans (BEPs)
- Strong technical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
