  • Strong field identification skills for Irish and UK flora.
  • Familiarity with Irish habitats and relevant legislation (e.g., Habitats Directive, Wildlife Act).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and GIS software (e.g., QGIS, ArcGIS) is an advantage.
  • Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel for fieldwork.

Desirable

  • Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., CIEEM, BSBI).
  • Experience with bryophytes, lichens, or aquatic plants.
  • Understanding of ecological restoration and habitat management techniques.
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis or ecological modelling tools.
